- Revised draft of Envision Oak Point plan and revision summary posted on Envision Oak Point project website – by March 23
- Planning & Zoning Commission review and consideration of the plan (public comments will be received during this meeting) – April 2 Planning & Zoning Commission meeting
Envision Oak Point Joint Work Session
The Envision Oak Point draft plan will be presented to the Plano City Council and the Planning & Zoning Commission during a joint work session on Monday, January 29. The meeting will be at the Plano Event Center (Northbrook Room) and will begin at 6:00 PM. The work session is an opportunity to present the draft plan and to begin dialogue to address areas of concern expressed by the Oak Point community during the planning process.
Due to time constraints, the public will be provided comment cards to provide written comments. Additional opportunities for public comment will be provided as the public review process advances.

There will be two presentations summarizing the plan recommendations. You can attend either presentation that works best for your schedule.

The project team will be available for one-on-one and small group conversations. Light refreshments will be provided.

We will reveal more detailed scenario concepts based on community feedback from the visioning workshop and other outreach activities. You can compare how different scenarios perform in terms of economic development, housing, jobs, transportation, sustainability, and more! This will be your opportunity to tell us your preferred scenario for the Oak Point area and provide further feedback on how you envision Oak Point.

Day 1 - March 28
Community Design Workshop
6 p.m. - Registration Begins
6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. - Workshop Begins
Hands-on exercises will help you visualize and share your plan ideas for the future of the Oak Point area. We’ll discuss how we can create a sense of place for the Oak Point area, and key elements like land use, open space and transportation. If you have just one day, this is a good session to attend. Your input will be very valuable, because ideas shared during the workshop will get the wheels turning on the planning process.
Day 2 - March 29
Community Drop-in Session
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
In this session, you observe the team at work. Watch the project team absorbing your ideas, weaving them together to develop potential development scenarios for the Oak Point area. If you like details and process, you will love this session!
Day 3 - March 30
Community Open House
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
View and comment on the scenarios created over the two previous days. This is a good session to attend to tell us what you think of the results so far.
